Rebel Yells - Upfront Oct 25th
After reading the short article on the replacement of the University of Mississippi's mascot, do you think that the Rebel mascot should be replaced? Do you think that our mascot might be offensive to some? Do you think that Gladbrook-Reinbeck should consider a new mascot? What are your feeling on this subject; not just this mascot, but even the change of mascot names such as the Indians or Warriors?

Well at Ol Mis I think it is approprate to change the mascot because students want the change. Some think it is offensive and if they arent comfortable with their mascot being a Rebel then my all means they should change it. I personally don't think that it is a big deal here at GR. 1 because I never was is as a race issue, just a a simple mascot. And two because realisticly there are little people here that it would be offensive to. If some people might not like it but it's obviously not an issue because nothing is said or done to change it.
